Contraindications of laser hair removal

There are some health conditions that are widely considered to be contraindications to laser hair removal. Among them are:

  • history of seiures
  • lesions, open wounds
  • herpes and cold sores
  • moles
  • recent waxing/plucking
  • depilatory creams
  • epilepsy
  • hirsutism
  • eczema
  • active infection
  • accutane
  • antibiotic (should be taken 3 weeks before treatment)
  • Recent sunburn
