If you have had filler treatments and are not happy with how they look or have lumps or nodules, the treatment can be reversed.
Dermal Fillers which i used contain hyaluronic acid. Fortunately, hyaluronic acid can be dissolved using an enzyme called hyaluronidase that can be injected into the area filler has been placed, dissolving any filler in that area.
The filler will be broken down and will disappear in a matter of minutes. However, the results of the treatment are usually only apparent after 24 hours (once any swelling has gone down).
This means that if you have had filler treatments and are not happy with how they look or have lumps or nodules, the treatment can be reversed.
Why have your Filler dissolved?
If you are unhappy with your Dermal Filler then having them dissolved is quick and effective. There are many reasons that you may want them dissolved:
The area has been over-filled
The filler has migrated or moved to other areas
Lumps and bumps have formed
The area is asymmetrical
You’ve experienced an allergic reaction or infection
Just because its sometimes considered good practice to remove remains of old filler and replace after 2-3 years
